EUROAMERICA Awarded Contract for WorldSID RibEye Systems
RUSHSYLVANIA, OHIO | December 8, 2020 – In partnership with Boxboro Systems, EUROAMERICA has been awarded a contract by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in support of the 2020 DML Mega Order to supply NHTSA’s Vehicle Research & Test Center (VRTC) with multiple Boxboro RibEye systems for the WorldSID 50th Percentile Male Side Impact ATD.
RibEye patented electro-optical products provide simultaneous measurement in two or three dimensions of the entire ribcage of crash test dummies at very high speed without compromising biofidelity. Currently, the RibEye can be used for the standard crash test dummies, such as the Hybrid-III 50th Male, Hybrid-III 5th Female, WorldSID 50th Male, and WorldSID 5th Female. The RibEye can also be used for other applications involving deformation, including automobile bumpers or roof crush. Detailed information on the RibEye systems can be found at: Boxboro Systems
EUROAMERICA has been the exclusive North American representative of Boxboro Systems for the past 7 years and is strategically positioned to manage all aspects of acquisition, installation, and implementation of RibEye into a variety of testing applications.
