A complete ATD-LabTech dummy lab consists of three multifunctional and interconnected test benches. This partially-automated system is designed for modular expansion for simple capability enhancement.
Impact Test System
The Impact Test System consists of two components, a “linear-pendulum” and a “test bench”. These modules allow for not only the standard ATD certification impacts but also material testing component impacts.
PDC Test System
The PDC Test System offers the opportunity to synchronously perform neck pendulum tests, foot impact tests, head drop tests and rib drop tests; along with multiple compressions and tension tests in a confined space.
Flex Test System
The Flex Test System combines the hip and torso flexion tests in one compact system. Fully automated positioning and performance of tests guarantee a drastic reduction with regard to possible errors.
MD Test System
The MD Test System is based on the drop/compression module of the PDC and has available extensions for force, torque and multi-dimensional displacement sensor calibrations.
The automated Test Bench operates along four axes and creates high flexibility in relation to all ATD testing and other diverse testing scenarios.
This displacement measurement device is based on a precise low-friction scissor mechanism made out of firm stainless steel, which transfers lifting motions in absolute linearity onto a conductive plastic potentiometer in a conversion ratio of i=4.5.
